Connecting Angel One
Link your Angel One account so QuantInsta can stream market data and, when you go live, place orders.
QuantInsta works with your own Angel One trading account. Connecting it gives your strategies live market data; orders are only placed for strategies you switch to Live.
Before you start
You need:
- An active Angel One trading account and its client code.
- Your Angel One password (login PIN).
- TOTP enabled on your Angel One account, with the authenticator app that generates the 6-digit codes.
Connect
- Open Settings → Broker integrations.
- On the AngelOne card, enter your Client Code and Broker Password.
- Enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app in TOTP (One-Time Password).
- Select Connect. The card shows the connection as active once Angel One accepts the login.
Stay connected automatically (optional)
Angel One sessions expire daily. If you don't want to reconnect by hand each morning, turn on Login Automation:
- Switch Login Automation on.
- Enter your TOTP Secret - the setup key shown when you enabled TOTP on Angel One.
- Choose an Automatic Login/Refresh Time (IST) before the market opens.
- Select Save.
QuantInsta then signs in to Angel One at that time each day. Your password and TOTP secret are stored encrypted and are only used to refresh this session.
Only enter your TOTP secret if you want automated login. Anyone with your password and TOTP secret can sign in to your broker account. You can switch automation off, or Disconnect the broker, at any time.
Disconnect
Select Disconnect on the AngelOne card. Running live strategies can no longer place orders; stop them first.
